Problems on other RedHat linux servers / no Varnish...
« on: March 14, 2025, 12:41:04 PM »
Hi,

I am using Alma Linux 9.

After a fresh install of CWP, PHP7.4 and FPM or PHP8.1 and FPM

I got to the SelectWebServer option under the WebServer Settings menu and select Nginx & Varnish & Apache, but I found no Varnish...

What should I do?

PHP / Re: FYI - ionCube Release new loaders 13.3.0
« on: March 12, 2025, 09:33:42 AM »
Hi,

Many thanks to Starburst for this post...

His last post on the subject:

https://starburst.help/control-web-panel-cwp/control-web-panel-cwp-admin-tutorials/ioncube-error-after-building-php-8-3-with-cwp-on-almalinux-8-9/

Please help - if I have compiled PHP 8.3.17 via PHP Version Switcher and have followed all Starburst instructions (for which I thank him again very much), and I have a working version of PHP 8.3.17, then when compiling PHP 8.3.17 with PHP Selector and PHP-FPM Selector - do I need to do anything else?

Thanks in advance!

CWP 0.9.8.1142 free version and i cannot use php switch
how can i pay for pro version? i tried with skrill but cannot pay..
Can anybody help?

PHP Switcher2 * PHP-FPM is part of CWPpro, it does not function in the Free version of CWP.
But from your post above, you already know that.

Also for some odd reason, for PHP-CGI to compile correctly, you have to have your DNS in the Admin panel set to valid servers, and have the hostname SSL installed.

Brought up 5 servers earlier in February, and found that little bug.

this about "your DNS in the Admin panel set to valid servers" I didn't understand it, if my domain was purchased from my ISP and the DNS is with them?

PHP / CWPanel ---> PHP Settings section --->PHP info....
« on: March 11, 2025, 03:51:30 PM »
Hi,

I used AL 9.5 .... Previously, and now when I look at the videos, I notice that In CWPanel ---> PHP Settings section --->PHP info, the PHP settings of the server and the user were visible one after another. Still, now I only see the PHP settings of the server, what should I do?

Thanks in advance!

If you want to know why phpinfo() looks different in different php versions then contact the dev team of PHP.

Hi,

please don't make fun of me, I'm not asking you if the PHP looks different in its different versions, I'm asking you what happens with CWPanel, in the part where I set up the PHP...

After checking the PHP version for the domain (user), it is seen that he has master and for local the same, from php.ni of the domain..., and not an example for the master to take those of the CWP (Simple PHP.ini editor or PHP Configuration)...?????

In CWPanel ---> PHP Settings section --->PHP info, the PHP settings of the server and the user were visible one after another, now I don't know what is visible in this section????

I repeat. There is no problems. I see the changes in "php info" of CWP admin panel once I modify the settings or add/remove libs of the main php version.

Hi,

But you can't understand me - see screenshots of how the PHP info looks like:

https://prnt.sc/YwhRt65tgftj
https://prnt.sc/EGnHam_KzjbU

And for me it looks like this:

Doube/tripple check your actions. You just missed some step and it causes the problem for you.

I just removed/added/updated php settings (libs) for the main php installed on the server and everything works fine (the changes are reflected). So check what you do.

You just missed something or you just try to increase your post counter here.

Hi,

I don't know what you are adding or upgrading to the PHP, but please when you go into the CWPanel and from the PHP Settings section you selected PHP info, show the result...

Installation / Re: what's wrong with MongoDB
« on: March 10, 2025, 09:01:24 AM »
Again, those are not "errors" but rather "warnings." Probably to be expected with 8.3 & 8.4... Does 8.1 produce the same warnings on your system?

Hi,

PHP 8.1 It's clean, no warnings...

You may need to restart your webservers for the change to take effect.

Hi,

Thank you very much, of course I restarted and it has an effect, but my concern is not in ionCube and the loaders, but in the fact that when I went into the CWPanel  and from the PHP Settings section I selected PHP info:

https://prnt.sc/LvKI75iQeIvY

... and please see the result:

 https://prnt.sc/W7jZwb9QpFQW

Before when I went into the CWPanel  and from the PHP Settings section and I selected PHP info there were two parts like this https://prnt.sc/2mNge_YrHbHh

 and after it followed:

 https://prnt.sc/W7jZwb9QpFQW

Now only one?

I think you missed something.

Access the server over SSH as root and run:

Code: [Select]
echo "zend_extension=/usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_8.3.so" > /usr/local/php/php.d/ioncube.ini

Hi,
I ran the command you recommended (which I don't know what it is for?):
Code: [Select]
echo "zend_extension=/usr/local/ioncube/ioncube_loader_lin_8.3.so" > /usr/local/php/php.d/ioncube.ini
...but it didn't return a result...

I then checked with
Code: [Select]
php -v again and got the desired result:

Zend Engine v4.3.17, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v14.4.0, Copyright (c) 2002-2025, by ionCube Ltd.

Then I went into the CWP and from the PHP Settings section I selected PHP info and please see the result:

https://prnt.sc/W7jZwb9QpFQW

Pls, help...?!?

Hi,

I did everything according to the instructions given here:

https://starburst.help/control-web-panel-cwp/control-web-panel-cwp-admin-tutorials/ioncube-error-after-building-php-8-3-with-cwp-on-almalinux-8-9/

I then checked with php -v and got the desired result:

Zend Engine v4.3.17, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v14.4.0, Copyright (c) 2002-2025, by ionCube Ltd.

Then I went into the CWP and from the PHP Settings section I selected PHP info and please see the result:

https://prnt.sc/W7jZwb9QpFQW

before it looked different????

Maybe before the current view there was something like:

https://prnt.sc/2mNge_YrHbHh

???

The missing screenshots are of how to use the FTP client.  They should have no bearing on following the directions in the text.

Hi,

yes, that's clear..., thanks ...
But I'm excited about it and my request is for more details about unzipping, uploading, etc.

Code: [Select]
sh /scripts/install_cbpolicyd

Hi,

Is that all?

BR

Have you made attempts to install and configure cbpolicyd?

Hi,

no, I haven't made any conscious attempts...
on a recommendation in the forum, but not for e-mail, I have done some things, like: https://prnt.sc/6BzVg5dWNuHn
for user pass, for mod security and I don't remember anything else...
