Installation / Re: EMERGENCY HELP ME
« on: November 02, 2021, 06:04:48 AM »
:) thank I wonder if there is someone who can help me?

Who installed the OS? You or the provider?
If it was the provider, you can ask them to setup your IP as a Static, instead of DHCP.

The above has to be completed before all else.
After that it's a simple install of CWP.

Installation / Re: Upgrade mariadb 10.5
« on: November 02, 2021, 06:00:27 AM »
I updated to 10.5.12 successfully.
But now on CWP dashboard shows mysql port=MySQL Remote Button

Is there a way to get this back to 3306?

Not really. It shows that yellow/orange'ish button that says, "MySQL Remote" for MySql Port, but it is still port 3306.
Also it's not MySQL, it's MariaDB running. So I think it's just some programming language for that area that needs updating.

We currently have 10.6.4-MariaDB running without problems.

We have it setup so the domain has:

MX 0 mail.domain.com
mail A 123.123.123.123

Then under the SSL, it has the mail service enable so it creates a mail.domain.com

That should be all.

Information / Re: They now have 2 viable CentOS 8.4 replacements
« on: October 27, 2021, 02:34:26 AM »
The migration scripts for AlmaLinux & Rocky Linux only work on RHEL Compatible Release versions.
So if are on Stream, you can't convert.

Do you mean a Live CWP machine running CentOS 8.4 can be converted to AlmaLinux or RockyLinux?
Or a CentOS 8.4 Stream CWP delayed repository is the only migration available / secure?

Left you an answer in the other area to this same question.

Installation / Re: AlmaLinux

Problem is once you upgrade to Stream, you are stuck there with no return possible.

The migrations scripts for AlmaLinux & Rocky Linux only work on CentOS 8.3 or 8.4, NOT Stream.

But migration from CentOS 8.4 (not stream) to AlmaLinux & Rocky Linux is possible with a living environment?
Someone told me that only the CentoOS Stream and then Switch to CWP Delayed Repo, is a possible way to get it working.

Yes, you can migrate from CentOS 8.4 to AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux.

You also can install Stream and them use the delayed CWP repos.
But you will always be stuck on Stream with no way to migrate.

There are certain steps you need to do to get this working, starting with giving your mail record a DNS A record.

Let me know if you still need help getting this setup.

Information / Re: CentOS 8 Support - When or Never???
« on: October 21, 2021, 04:29:43 PM »
I brought up a test server, and followed some of the directions out there to upgrade from CentOS 7 to 8, and it failed. Miserably...

The best way is to bring up an AlmaLinux or Rocky Linux 8.4 server and use the CWP->CWP Migration tool.

I tried to migration tool from 7 to 8, and never could get any of the ways to work.

Dovecot / Re: Mail accounts management Spinning

Did I read that right?

2,200 (two thousand 2 hundred) SUB-Domains?

An option you might try is just do a domain forward thru the registrar.

Yes. 2200 subdomains.
Each subdomain is a different website of a customer.
The owner of this website host some business pages for his customers and each subdomain is dedicated to one customer.
Any way to fix CWP to handle them?

P.S. The subdomains are working just fine.
the two problem i have are:

- When i access email list from client panel, i get the spinning icon and i can't see/edit/add emails (but i can do it from root panel.)
- The other problem is that let's encrypt does not allow ssl for all the subdomains. There is a limit at 400 or something.
With cpanel i didn't have this problem. Any advice here?

Thank you very much.

Holy cr@p that's a lot of subs.

So it's like site1.domain.com, site2.domain.com, etc.

You might be better off creating a reseller account, and then having them as regular accounts.

That should fix both the email and SSL problem.

Although the maximum number of sites I've ever seen on a single server has been 504-756.
That's why I asked about the 2,200.

You can upgrade to the latest Dovecot via repo, and see if that helps also.

Backup server first.

Create /etc/yum.repos.d/dovecot.repo

[dovecot-2.3-latest]
name=Dovecot 2.3 CentOS $releasever - $basearch
baseurl=http://repo.dovecot.org/ce-2.3-latest/centos/$releasever/RPMS/$basearch
gpgkey=https://repo.dovecot.org/DOVECOT-REPO-GPG
gpgcheck=1
enabled=1

Then run: dnf update (If CentOS 8). yum update (If CentOS 7)
And reboot server.

SSL / Re: All domains getting ssl error
« on: October 02, 2021, 05:25:06 PM »
facing the same problem couldnt find the error in error log too...

apache/domlogs/smithikamobiles.in error log also not showing anything

domain name : http://smithikamobiles.in without ssl working fine

https://smithikamobiles.in not working getting ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

any one help me to fix more than 5 days searching for solution...

Check NAT mode that @PargonianKnight mentioned.

Your domain comes up pointing to 192.168.1.1 when you view it.

1515
Check with CloudFlare.

If you setup the outgoing mail server as the FQDN of your server, it will use that be default, not another domain.
And should work without problem.

But I've seen some weird stuff when using cloudflare.
Because you are using their DNS.
