E-Mail / Re: Mail server different as Hostname
« on: April 30, 2021, 01:01:57 AM »
Actually you need to spilt off the mail, and not have it as a CNAME.
So you would change your MX to point to mail.domainname
And then create an A record for mail.
Then make sure you have a SSL certificate with the mail. prefix

It's working on all of our servers with CentOS 8 and CWPpro 0.9.8.1055.
When did that start?

Maybe I did.
I'm just another user here trying to help.
And am an odd ball, I switched over to CentOS 8 before RedHat's announcement.
But you can change the IP on your license at any time by logging in at:
https://support.centos-webpanel.com/
Then under: Your Active Products/Services
Click on the license you want to update, and then at the bottom the next screen you will see "Change Server IP"
Just enter the correct base IP for your server and click on submit.
Give it 5-10 minutes, and then try and run sh /scripts/update_cwp via ssh on your server. And it should update.
Something happened with Let's Encrypt that another user & myself had a problem with the hostname SSL renewing.
After we temporally disabled the firewall and ran the change hostname, it worked. The re-enable the firewall (csf)

SSL / Re: SSL: 2nd user

"floating IP"
SSL requires a Static IP as they look at rDNS to confirm the domain name to the IP.
The "floating IP" may be your problem.
I responded to your other post.
What is /var/log/cwp/autossl.log showing?

CueBall,
We've been running CWP for awhile now.
Sometimes, you just have to work problems out here on the forums or yourself.
Check a couple things.
1. Hostname is pointed to the right IP, and rDNS is set. (I know this sounds stupid, but if rDNS isn't correct, it can cause weird problems.)
2. In CWP billing software, make sure it has the servers correct Base Public IPv4.
3. Try & run: sh /scripts/update_cwp (This will Reset CWPpro, in licensing only)
Let me know if this works or doesn't.

SSL / Re: CWPSRV SSL not working - Missing /etc/letsencrypt?
« on: April 22, 2021, 07:54:36 PM »
Was having a similar problem.
Disable your firewall (csf) and try to change your hostname to get a reissued SSL.
I did this and it worked.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: Centos 7 Upgrade Centos 8
« on: April 05, 2021, 04:20:18 PM »
There is no way to upgrade from CentOS 7 to CentOS 8.
We tried the options posted online, and none worked.
What we did, is we brought up a new CentOS 8 server and then used the CWP Migration tool to move over the accounts/sites.
Then about 2 weeks after this, CentOS announced that CentOS 8 would end, and be replaced with CentOS Stream.
If you are on CentOS 7, I would recommend you stay on that OS and wait and see what happens with Rocky Linux, etc and CWP.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: CentOS 8 minor bug
« on: April 05, 2021, 04:10:06 PM »Is the 1 update by chance MariaDB? Because there is a huge difference in the minor upgrade, and they provide instructions on a "Manual Upgrade". If it's not Maria, please cite what program refused to update.
All the servers are running the latest MariaDB 10.5.9
Here is the popup:

Click on the "here", and it opens up the YUM Manager, and shows No Updates:

I have just gotten use to ignoring and closing that popup every time I login, since it inaccurate/wrong.
Again this is on CentOS 8.3.2011 (which uses dnf as default, not yum), and has the latest CWPpro 0.9.8.1055

I tried https://www.mysterydata.com/how-to-enable-tls-1-3-in-apache-on-cwp-control-web-panel-centos-7-centos-8-el7-el8/
Gave an error on Line 551, which is /usr/local/apache/conf.d/
Attempted 2 times. Both failed.
Server is running Apache Only.
Also when the server was rebooted, it seemed like any service tied to openssl failed, SSH, web, etc.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Problem after update - Again
« on: April 04, 2021, 05:12:48 AM »
Just ran dnf update tonight, and another problem popped up.
The system only update OpenSSL from 1.1.1g-12 to 1.1.1g-15 and the mail system broke, Again.
System also can't generate any new SSL certificates via the control panel.
Which wouldn't be a problem, Except in troubleshooting and SSL certificate wads deleted as it was tried to be recreated, but can't.
This wasn't even a minor update, just a bugfix.
