E-Mail / Re: Mail server different as Hostname

I am using CWP Pro and I have the same issue. I get a popup indicating the usage of a certificate than can't be verified. So, it is not possible to fix this and use Outlook just like it works with cPanel?

We haven't had this issue for awhile now with CWPpro. Even worked with the CWP DNS defaults and the Free SSL certificate.

We are using the Dovecot from their own repo though.

i create a ticket with server login and send this topic link we'll happy to check it.

Well that was a useless endeavor.

I wound up just removing the 2nd IP.

websites use ip which is set for the account in the account list of cwp.admin

I'm using the WHMCS module, but it keeps assigned the default, instead of the IP selected for Shared IP.

shared ip is the default ip, what else ip your have can you please elaborate more.

The server currently has 2 IP's - 207.244.227.22 set as eth0, and 209.126.0.219 as eth0:1

209.126.0.219 is set as the Shared IP under CWP Settings -> Edit Settings

But when the cwp7 WHMCS module creates an account, it creates it with 207.244.227.22 instead.

CWPpro version: 0.9.8.1032

The box has 2 IP's.
eth0 & eth0:1

In CWP Settings -> Edit Settings

I selected the 2nd IP as the "Shared IP" and saved.

But below it keeps showing "default: x.x.x.x" instead of whats IP is the box above of z.z.z.z

So when a site is auto created, it's using the default.

Where is the configuration file, so I can manually edit this to the correct IP?

Had the same problem.

Uninstalled & reinstalled clamd, and then reran sh /scripts/clamd_fix_100_cpu_usage and it stopped.

clamd just updated to 0.103.0-1 also

I think it is/was a memory leak in clamd.

SSL / Re: Wrong Hostname? SSL Issue
« on: January 03, 2021, 08:16:55 PM »
hostname should be like subdomain of your main domain and should have dns A record :
check this tutorial https://www.mysterydata.com/how-to-change-and-install-ssl-for-hostname-in-cwp-control-web-panel/

The hostname has to be different than an account on the system.

Also you have to log into Vultr and set the servers main IP to the hostname.

At Vultr, this is at:

Products -> (select your server) -> Settings -> Click on the pencil next to the Vultr default Reverse DNS.
Change it to your hostname, then click on the Checkmark to save.

Vultr has various time to update the rDNS. I've seen as fast as a couple minutes, to over an hour.

Then ALSO in your domains DNS, you have to have an A record for the hostname and IP.

Hope this answers your question.

CentOS-WebPanel GUI / Re: CWP->CWP Migration
« on: January 03, 2021, 08:09:11 PM »
I've done this, just had to delete the User Account. And then resync in Migration.

Also if you look in /home, you will see all the transfers under a weird name.
You can delete these to keep things clean.

CWP API / Re: Whmcs - Module Create Failed
« on: January 03, 2021, 08:05:24 PM »
I think you might have just found your problem.

WHMCS logs into another server to create the account.
You need to have the IP assigned to WHMCS whitelisted, so it can connect without problems.
In the CWP API all you need to do is check WHMCS and the IP of the WHMCS server.

Since you are trying to do everything on the same server, that could be the problem.

For security it's always recommended you have separate servers.
If a user gains access to root, they would have access to your emails and WHMCS database. Plus more.

It doesn't matter if your using Apache or Nginx.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / 503 Bad Gateway - cwpsrv
« on: December 31, 2020, 12:39:48 AM »
After CWP runs an update and you try to login, it gives a "503 Bad Gateway - cwpsrv"

Logged into ssh, and restarted cwpsrv, but no joy.

Have to restart the server every time after a recent update to get CWP accessible again.

Just started with the 0.9.8.1028 update, also just happened now with the 0.9.8.1030 update.

CWP API / Re: Whmcs - Module Create Failed

Which CWP module for CWP are you using?

There are 2 out there for some reason.

We are using WHMCS 8.0.4 with CWP Servers running 0.9.8.1028

This is the module you should be using:
http://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/whmcs-module-for-cwp-api dated 30MAR20.

Need any help, just ask.

Updates / Re: CentOS 7 Update to CentOS 8 Stream
« on: December 16, 2020, 04:49:42 PM »
Hello,

I've heard about the news of CentOS 7 EoL in 2024. Just wondering if there will be a way to upgrade to CentOS 8 Stream, keeping all CWP configuration + data in place?

Would be nice if there is an easy upgrade path as migrating everything over to a new machine is a pain in the neck.

From first hand experience, there is no way to go from CentOS 7 to CentOS 8 or Stream.
We had to bring up new servers and the use the migration tool built into CWP.

That being said, studio4host is correct. CWP is written primarily for CentOS 7.
And since that support doesn't end until 2024, I would wait and see what happens with Rocky and CloudLinux.

Just my 2 cents.
