« on: November 10, 2023, 11:10:26 AM »
MariaDB 11.x support has been discussion in detail in another thread.
MariaDB 10.11.x is the current LTS version.
Upgrading MariaDB is Free, unless you need to hire someone to do it.

Migration from other control panels / Re: cPanel using JetBackup to CWP
« on: November 10, 2023, 11:07:11 AM »Where is that tool? I have Jetbackup backups and I am unable to restore them in CWP. Any help?
Under the User Accounts menu.
You will see 2 options:
- cPanel->CWP Migration (If you have access to the old cPanel server, this is best)
- cPanel Account Restore (This is what you would use for Jetbackup)

Backup / Re: Backup Beta, ** not backing up databases **
« on: October 27, 2023, 07:50:18 PM »a pretty easy way is to install the veeam backup agent and make bare metal and also incremental backups using it.
This is easy and can also be done on a normal NAS like Synology or QNAP if you are not a business user with tons of servers and possibilities.
That is a good option for business users that can afford a high monthly cost of a bare metal.
Most providers offer imaging service or backups either as part of the monthly fee or pay per GB.
Which is usually cheaper, unless you have a ton of images.

Installation / Re: facing errors on CWP installation
« on: October 24, 2023, 08:09:06 PM »
Some here have used elevate from CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 8.
I've only been testing AL 8 to AL 9.
I would advise to create an image as a backup before doing anything.
CWP works on both.
We use AL 8.8 currently, and PHP works fine.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Re: Did anyone manage to solve it: Cant login to CWP User :2083

Check CSF to see if you might have that port blocked.
Otherwise you might need to open a support ticket with CWP.

Can you please advise of the following:
What 'errors' and/or 'messages' are being displayed?
What distro are you trying to install CWP onto?
VPS or Dedicated?
Specs?

NAT's can usually only forward 1 port to 1 server, not multiple.
So for everything to work, you need to forwards all the common ports to that server, and then it may still have an issue as the server IP (Internal IP), doesn't match the External (Public IP).
So one of many, Reverse DNS will fail, because public IP 11.11.11.11 isn't resolving to 10.0.0.1
This will cause problems with email, and SSL.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / BUG in NIghtly CRON - 'cron.daily'
« on: October 20, 2023, 11:00:22 PM »
All CWP servers are reporting a different directory name, but same error lines in the nightly CWP cron.
Anyone else seeing this in their 'cron.daily'?
sed: cannot rename /usr/local/apache/conf/sedNT0hJn: Operation not permitted
sed: cannot rename /usr/local/apache/conf/sedVNSzL5: Operation not permitted

Is your local server behind a NAT?
Or do you pay your ISP for Public Static IP's?
Many ISP's also have SMTP ports blocked.

Check your mariadb.repo file, and update with what you generate from https://mariadb.org/download/?t=repo-config

CSF Firewall / Re: IPV6 management
« on: October 13, 2023, 11:02:22 PM »
You can configure IPv6 manually, and it works fine.
If the server had IPv6 enabled & setup when you installed CWP, and in essence CSF, then CSF should have IPv6 enabled also.
