MySQL / Re: New MariaDB 11.0.x version gives error
« on: October 12, 2023, 04:31:05 AM »
You should be fine following the CWP Wiki page.

But as always you should make a backup/image before making any major change.

CentOS 8 Problems / Weird error in cron.daily
« on: October 11, 2023, 09:17:28 AM »
Been seeing the below weird error.
Have triple checked, directory (/usr/local/apache/conf/sedHtq1FH) or (/usr/local/apache/conf/sedXxdbHA) doesn't exist, so I'm not sure what CWP is trying to do in the cron.daily.

CentOS 7 Problems / Re: /boot 100% full, how do i clean !!!
« on: October 09, 2023, 08:43:50 PM »
You can set the number of Kernel in Grub in the config file:

/etc/dnf/dnf.conf

The Default is: installonly_limit=3

Which means it will keep 3 boseos kernels, plus as an example 3 kernel-lt

Try to change it to 2, and that will remove 1 kernel each.

The default AlmaLinux /boot partition size is usually big enough for 6 kernels easily.

Problems on other RedHat linux servers / Re: CWP works but websites down

Look like a common issue with this scripts.
Did a quick Google search for 'mpm_event:error

https://forums.cpanel.net/threads/apache-mpm-event-scoreboard-not-full.710585/
Has a suggested fix is the code, as well as checking max server connections config.

Also they say to check your MaxConnectionsPerChild setting.
Setting it to anything other than 0 is only meant to be done on Windows because it leaks memory internally.

Looks like whatever script this is, it's been having problems with Apache going back to at least 2014.

Usually a $ at the end means there's more data to show.

Try viewing the log file using CWP's File Manager, and paste what the full lines say.

The base OS shouldn't have an effect.

Mod_Security would be the same on any RHEL 8 based systems.

PHP / Re: CWP falling behind with PHP. Again.
« on: October 06, 2023, 06:40:13 PM »
Yup.

CWP is 3 versions behind now, the worst so far.
They broke their record of being 2 versions behind.

Not to mention 8.1.24 was released 28 Sep 23 also.

CWP is now 3 Full PHP versions behind as of 0.9.8.1170.

An update needs to be done just for these.

626
Yup.
The hidden log files will wind up killing your space quick.

And neither the user or admin panels take in account for the DB sizes I've noticed.

Ditto

Guess that's what comes from using CWP for so many years.
We all started somewhere.

If you have narrowed it down to mod-security.

Look in it logs to see what is triggering it.

What ModSec Rules Profile are you using?

OWASP old
OWASP latest
Comodo WAF (Which requires CWPpro)

Both OWASP have allot of false triggers (positives) that Comodo doesn't.

That is odd.
Is this running a public IP, or behind a NAT?

Try to uninstall mod_security for awhile.
If it doesn't crash you narrowed it down.

Login to support at: https://support.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?rp=/login

Under - Your Active Products/Services, Select you license.

At the bottom you will see a field where you can update your IPv4.

Give it a few minutes, and then run /scripts/update_cwp

CWPpro should be active again.
