PHP Selector / Re: Cannot update php version
« on: November 20, 2024, 07:17:08 AM »
Don't know how MANY times this has been posted over and over.
But here is it again...

CENTOS 7 IS DEAD - D-E-A-D, unalive, no longer with us, finished, no longer supported, kaput...

You want to use a PAST EOL OS like CentOS 7, that's fine.

BUT EXPECT ERRORS AND THINGS NOT TO WORK.

RedHat even has Frozen and Archived the repos for CentOS 7. Hence all the 404 Errors.

There was a temporary way to access the archived repos, so you could upgrade to AlmaLinux 8.
But not sure if that is still working.

dnf was run manually, so I could make sure the updates to AL 9.5 went without errors'

618
Yup. Just updated all the servers last night.

Oh what fun.

Information / Re: Changelogs

Thankfully saw they updated PHP when it hit the servers.
One of the first things I check. :P

But the changelog also says:
Quote
Fix migrations module
Fix reseller module

So hopefully that means migrating from CWP on AL8 to a server with AL9 & CWP will work without needing to do the workaround.

620
You can automate anything.
So not sure what you are asking.

I personally like running the dnf update manually. I still miss up2date.

Installation / Re: Compiler requires 512 MB RAM + SWAP
« on: November 17, 2024, 12:52:27 AM »
Check you php.ini file, that is probably where the problem is at, by default this is usually only set to 128M.

memory_limit =

BUT if you have WordPress installed, and set it above 512M, WP may not recognize it in it a current installation.

The ruleset version should stay the same unless you are switching back & forth between Comodo and OWASP.

ID 218500 was a bug between 1.240 with WooCommerce.
Burst Statistics must use some of the same buggy code then.

Not really, your best option is just to disable those services you are not using.

The problem looks like a WordPress plugin called Burst Statistics.

Disable that plugin, and see if the error goes away.
Programmers sometime use malicious code in valid programs, which can give 'false positives'.

If the error goes away, maybe check out MonsterInsights instead.

Only other option would be to disable the rule being triggered - 22_SQL_SQLi.conf

But I never recommend doing that, because it could leave the system open to attack.

625
And we have answered you on those other threads.

But CWP is working on AL9, with only the migration tool having some hicups.

Problems on other RedHat linux servers / Re: No SSL / alma
« on: November 16, 2024, 02:26:55 AM »
Check your rDNS.

If that isn't set correctly Let's Encrypt won't generate the SSL.
95% of the time that is the problem.

The other 5% is due to a mis-configured firewall.

The Comodo fix was for WooCommerce.

What Rule does WAF show is being triggered by WordPress.

Haven't seen any conflict with Comodo and WordPress on AL8 or AL9.

I'm guessing your country code is PK?

That's probably why you can't connect.
Try the link now.

@overseer, are you able to login to https://waf.comodo.com, I'm still getting the same error I've been getting for months now.

I've tried contacting them via their email address & forums without success.

Comodo was bought out by another company.

You can try and register for an account and download the last ruleset 1.241 from https://waf.comodo.com

Let me know if it works. As I haven't been able to login for a couple months now.
But not sure is @overseer has been able to or not.

If not, you can visit one of our US mirrors at: https://m3.stl.us.ssimn.org/Comodo-Rules/
The latest ruleset I know of is 1.241, unzip that to your local computer, and upload the files from Rules to your server at /usr/local/apache/modsecurity-cwaf/rules

Easiest way is using the SFTP built into Bitvise after you have logged in via SSH.
