Problems on other RedHat linux servers / Re: CWP works but websites down
« on: October 05, 2023, 11:32:14 AM »
What time is it happening?
Same time every day?
Have you checked the Apache log file for that time frame?

Installation / Re: The problem of the large number of alerts and warning messages
« on: October 03, 2023, 02:10:27 PM »
These notifications are actually coming from CSF.
Since CSF is not dedicated to any 1 type of server, the csf.pignore file has to be customized for different items.
You can view/edit/add to the generic csf.pignore file with nano that CSF installs at:
nano /etc/csf/csf.pignore

« on: October 03, 2023, 02:04:59 PM »
Well I doubt you have access to the centos-webpanel.com domain name.
Your server has to have a FQDN, pointing to the base IPv4 as mentioned in the documentation.
And then you can follow this Wiki to create a SSL for it:
http://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/hostname-ssl-with-letsencrypt

There have been 2 previous inquires before.
LDAP Support:

LDAP Authentication:
https://forum.centos-webpanel.com/index.php?topic=6934.0
That being said, using M$ Active Directory is easier than LDAP.

How to / Re: How to limit the cpu usage percentage for a domain
« on: October 02, 2023, 01:35:13 AM »
If you know which user, you can add them to / etc/ security/ limits.conf (remove spaces in path, had to add due to SMF)
username hard cpu 10
or if you know what exec file:
cpulimit -l 10 -e /home/[username]/public_html/offender.php

SSL / Re: only self signed certificates issued
« on: September 30, 2023, 05:36:59 PM »
I've heard Rocky has some issues.
We use AlmaLinux 8.x, and have not had any problems.
I would try that distro before going back to CentOS 7.

You mentioned 'port forwarding' on a router.
Do you have both ports 80 & 443 open?
I'm guessing the server has an internal IP (e.g. 192.x or 10.x) then?

FYI mod_cloudflare was retired & development stopped some time ago.
mod_remoteip replaced it.

Apache / Re: Codeigniter 4
« on: September 28, 2023, 04:27:48 AM »
I hate to say this, but this isn't a CWP topic.
I can say the PHP server requirements are met according to their docs when you build PHP in CWP.
Your best bet would be the support boards for this PHP developer framework.

MySQL / Re: New MariaDB 11.0.x version gives error
« on: September 26, 2023, 10:03:33 PM »
So according to MariaDB this is correct.
Looks like CWP is querying the client version, not server version.
# mariadb --version
mariadb from 11.1.2-MariaDB, client 15.2 for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1

SSL / Re: All sites have stopped ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR
« on: September 26, 2023, 02:41:40 PM »
That error comes up when something in SSL is misconfigured.
On the Main control panel screen, does it show Apache running?
Was anything updated or changed before this happened?
If you want, PM me and I could login to look. (I do NOT work for CWP).

MySQL / Re: New MariaDB 11.0.x version gives error
« on: September 25, 2023, 10:55:04 PM »
So it looks like it worked, sorta.
Version showing is incorrect, unless this is a bug in 11.1.x when CWP is querying the version.
This MariaDB version 11.1.2 added 2 additional files:
MariaDB-server-compat
MariaDB-client-compat
@overseer, what do you think?
BTW If you want to login to the test box I can send you the info.
