Updates / Re: After Update all domains have HTTP Test Page
« on: December 03, 2018, 08:26:53 PM »
I agree, i totally "downvote" this upgrade... grrrr.  :-[

I got my server(s) all working again.. but have had issues (as already mentioned)

I too, noticed the "Re-Build Virtual Hosts" AND Configuration are now removed.  :'(
Those were being used, manually, and now it is gone.

I was really expecting something much better (for the admin/user) than this guys..
and i just (last week) purchased a Second License. .

I may revert back to a backup of last/previous server, and disable auto-update if this is it.

we dont need "more", we need "better.. imho.
Cheers,
X

Addons / Re: WHMCS installing issue
« on: November 25, 2018, 09:38:17 PM »
just to be sure, in you CWP's [API] panel area, did you use a parenthesis? (" % ")  in the "IP Origin" field..

i had the same problem, and i contacted CWP Support, and that fixed it for me.

Hope it helps.

Use the [SEARCH] in CWP for "API":

Api access management
Short Name    Ip Origin    Key code    Request / Answer    Actions
cwpwhmcs    %            -------------   -----------    ----------       ----------

http://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/whmcs-module-for-cwp-api

1. Extract file cwp7.zip in your whmcs folder
WHMCS/modules/servers/

as extracted module file path will look like this
WHMCS/modules/servers/cwp7/cwp7.php

2. In WHMCS
In Menu goto: Setup -> Products/Services -> Servers
Add New Server and under “Server Details”
Type = Cwp7
Username: root
Password: (your server password)
Access Hash: copy your key from CWP API

3. Generate API Key on the CWP server
goto Left-Menu -> CWP Settings -> API Manager
Use the following permissions:
-add, edit, suspend, unsuspend and delete accounts
-edit packages
-change Password

Softaculous / SitePad
« on: July 26, 2018, 06:41:54 PM »
I contacted the makers of Softaculous & SitePad..
I asked them when/if they were going to be able to implement "SitePad", as I think it would be a Great Benefit to CWP!!  Here is what they said;

Hi,

We need some API from CWP and are waiting for the same.

Once that API is available by CWP we will integrate SitePad asap.

Regards,
SitePad Sales

Virtualizor - http://www.virtualizor.com
Webuzo - http://www.webuzo.com
AMPPS - http://www.ampps.com
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sure hope CWP can get the API to them.. I know CWP is really busy, but i truly think having SitePad Available would be a huge benefit!  :)
Thanks for reading.

Any Ideas?  (i'm thinking it is an ISP call).. worth a second option (or more) though.

@24x7servermanagement, you have one AWESOME website!!!   8)

did you create that? or did you hire someone?  I may be interested in something similar (eventually)..

Thanks!!

Installation / Adding Domain's doesn't update my /etc/hosts file
« on: July 08, 2018, 11:43:11 PM »
Hi,
When i add a new Domain to CWP.
I have to manually include it in my /etc/hosts file list.

shouldn't this option be automatic?

Thanks.

sure, thanks.

it's listed under:

[Change Hostname] and [Postfix Mail Server Manager}

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Change Hostname
Don't forget to rebuild the mail server with the new Hostname.
Hostname should be only as a subdomain, like: srv1.mydomain.com, please don't use cloudflare protection with hostname as this will cause you issues.

Hostname change will also generate a new Hostname autoSSL Certificate.
Certificate Path: /etc/pki/tls/certs/
Key Path: /etc/pki/tls/private

Your Hostname is: srv.XXXX.net and it resolves to IP: 173.XX.X.211 [Check Black List]
rDNS/PTR = 173-XX-X-211.client.mchsi.com SUCCESS [Check SenderBase]

rDNS/PTR check for IP 192.168.122.1 = not found!
rDNS/PTR check for IP 192.168.1.150 = not found!

CWP Admin Panel Link (by hostname)
CWP Admin Panel Link: http://srv.XXXX.net:2030
CWP Admin Panel Link: http://srv.XXXX.net:2086
CWP Admin Panel SSL Link: https://srv.XXXX.net:2031
CWP Admin Panel SSL Link: https://srv.XXXX.net:2087

CWP User Panel Link (by hostname)
CWP User Panel Link: http://srv.XXXX.net:2082
CWP User Panel SSL Link: https://srv.XXXX.net:2083
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hmm, I could be mistaken, but i think that the rDNS/PTR for a LOCAL IP, needs to be changed at The I.S.P. (Internet Service Provider)'s END.

If any one else knows different, please feel free to reply.

Thanks!

To the OP.. That has happened to me *a lot* , hence i too have literally installed CWP-latest/Centos7 even more than 500 times.. like you.

It is very frustrating, to say the least.  when i (or it.) does manage to install correctly, i make a quick backup (using tar)..
then start 'using it', once i get everything set and working (phase #2), i remake the backup, (again using tar).. and keep repeating that.

once it is all updated and 'working', which usually takes hours, if not DAYS to 'figure out'. .  i repeat the backup AGAIN.
sometimes storing it on two seperate (external) devices.. i really wish that CWP/Centos would install correctly (the first time).
of course.

I make notes on each step i have to 'fix' as i go along.. ie; MariaDB is never properly setup, etc..

**THE FIX (for mine anyways)**

Has been:

AFTER you install a clean CWP-Latest/Centos7, DO_NOT do a YUM UPDATE..  just yet.
*that seems to have been the 'problem'* . . I setup MariaDB correctly with root login and pass (etc).
(usually not too hard).. check it, log in to it, log out..

THEN Install cwp-el7-latest.sh
SO FAR it has been much easier to configure a working server (doing the CWP_install BEFORE the Yum Update on a new install!)

sorry, but i hope it helps..
Cheers.

DNS / rDNS/PTR check for IP 192.168.1.150 = not found!
« on: July 04, 2018, 03:11:55 PM »
How can I fix this?

Your Hostname is: srv.XXXX.net and it resolves to IP: 173.XX.X.211 [Check Black List]
rDNS/PTR = 173-XX-X-211.client.mchsi.com SUCCESS [Check SenderBase]

**Above shows "SUCCESS"** but then below shows this (and why is it checking my LOCAL IP?)

rDNS/PTR check for IP 192.168.122.1 = not found!
rDNS/PTR check for IP 192.168.1.150 = not found!

******************************************************************************************************

I have tried manually adding a PTR record to srv.XXXX.net 173.XX.X.211.in-addr.arpa
(i don't know if i did it correctly, but nonetheless, it still shows that 'error') ~ or is it a 'glitch'?

*******************************************************************************************************

Advice on resolving this (step by step) as i am not real comfortable fidgeting with DNS much. :)
My system works fine, all sites are online, etc.. just this 'error'.

Thanks in Advance.
