Updates / PHP update ETA?
« on: July 22, 2023, 03:25:22 PM »
PHP released PHP 8.1.21 and 8.2.8 on 2023-07-06.
Any update when 0.9.8.1161 will be released with these updates?
Or have development paused due to redhat?

« on: July 22, 2023, 03:18:03 PM »
We've been waiting for over 2 years for IPv6 support, and the same response.
Best way is just manually configure it in .conf files currently.

AlmaLinux is currently the best option for package support, since they are basically CloudLinux.
But with what just happened a little while ago with RedHat, everything is up in the air.
I hate to say it, but Rocky may go the way of Mandrake.

BCH?
CWP only accepts PayPal for payment the last time I noticed.
Doesn't means I missed something.
Or did you go thru a reseller like we are?
Send us a PM, and we might be able to help.

Information / Re: RH plan to kill RHEL clones
« on: July 02, 2023, 07:34:33 PM »
Currently RH has fully stopped publishing to the repositories used to build EL clones.
Only upstream Stream repositories are still working, but these don't contain current bug fixes or updates.
Leave it up to some IBM suit to screw things up.

« on: June 28, 2023, 09:21:13 PM »
I'm sure by now allot of people here have read this post by Red Hat 2 days ago on 26 June 2023.
Which leaves CentOS Stream now on a death bed that RH just wants to use for free innovations they can use for a closed source RHEL.
And his threats to kill all/any RHEL clones...

MySQL / Re: New MariaDB 11.0.x version gives error
« on: June 12, 2023, 03:20:37 AM »
Being facetious?
All our servers are at 10.11.x
Other problem (not with CWP), is that the symlink for mysql_upgrade is broken, and you have to run the main binary mariadb-upgrade instead.

CentOS 9 Problems / Re: RHEL varient support update?
« on: June 12, 2023, 03:00:58 AM »
What also worries me now, is I did successful tests of AL 8.7 to AL 9.1 upgrades without problems months ago, and posted screenshots.
Tried it this past week from AL 8.8 to 9.2 and they all failed.
Using both my method (used before successfully), and the AL Elevates suggested method.
I know RHEL 8.x and it's derivatives will be around for while to come, but now I don't have a warm and fuzzy.

Tried to upgrade to 11.0.2 using https://wiki.centos-webpanel.com/mariadb-upgrade-to-new-version as a guide.
After upgrading the dashboard didn't show any version info, and then gave the following error:
danger
MySQL - BAD CONFIGURATION DETECTED
MySQL bad configuration detected, check from the console by using mysql command !!!

Saw "Xdebug v3.1.4, Copyright (c) 2002-2022, by Derick Rethans"
That's not a standard CWP PHP plugin, sounds like you have a PHP not compiled by CWP that us causing a problem.

CentOS Configuration / Re: one account to use a remote DNS server?
« on: May 15, 2023, 09:52:07 PM »
View your Apache vhosts .conf file and make sure it has the right IP address.
CWP should have done that automatically, but it sounds like something isn't matching up.
Also are you behind a NAT or anything?

Installation / Re: Centos 7 still the recommended version?
« on: May 15, 2023, 06:52:38 PM »
AlmaLinux 8.7 works great with CWP.
It's also done by the same company that does CloudLinux, which is paid, and recommended by CWP.
