Scripts / Re: Faild Install last Version Netdata in CWP (Control Web Pannel) Centos 7
« on: July 08, 2024, 05:58:10 PM »
Also not allot of 3rd part repo are just disabling & deleting repos for EL7.
So yes, for now, Red Hat has the CentOS 7 Archive going, but given their history, who knows for how long.
I know some mirrors, who are just removing the CentOS 7 repos all together to save space for other active projects.
Best bet is to switch over to AlmaLinux 8 to avoid any security breaches due to unpatched servers.

Could you please advise of the following:
What 'errors' and/or 'messages' are being displayed in the logs, not just the screen?
What distro are you are you running CWP on?
CWP Free or CWPpro?
Public or NAT?

Other / FYI - ELRepo Repositories Disabled
« on: July 08, 2024, 05:05:07 PM »
On 2024-06-30 ELRepo has shutdown & disabled their EL7 repositories.
As EL7, including CentOS 7 are DEAD as of that date (2024-06-30)
If you haven't upgraded to AlmaLinux 8 via ELevate, it is past the point of no return as it may not work now.
Only option would be to bring up a new server and use the CWP -> CWP Migration tool.

Installation / Re: When we will have a production release for EL9
« on: June 29, 2024, 09:15:22 PM »
CWP for AlmaLinux 9 is coming.
Don't listen to the poster who just seems to hate CWP for some reason, and likes posting false information.
Best option right now is to use the recommended version, AlmaLinux 8.x.
As it isn't EOL until 2029-05-31.
AlmaLinux 9 is EOL 2032-05-31
We have some production servers running AlmaLinux 9 with CWP, but some thing have to be done via CLI.
And some specific features like CWP -> CWP Migration don't work at all.

Installation / Re: Fiber optics at home
« on: June 29, 2024, 09:09:12 PM »
Pffft.
Had 1Gbps AT&T Fiber since 2017.
Even had a micro mirror running on it, until AT&T wouldn't help blocking DDoS attacks.
I don't think I ever could go back to anything slower now.
Working on servers is instantaneous.
Questions is, whether to goto 2Gbps or 5Gbps.
But that means upgrading switches, already running CAT6E when I replaced cables.

Updates / Re: CWP-CentOS-Stream-AppStream.repo Is down
« on: June 29, 2024, 09:00:45 PM »So, definitely NOT the recommended OS version upon which to install a server with the CWP management stack...
Neither is CentOS 7 like another here is falsely posting is the 'recommended' version, as they are reading what was posted by CWP years ago wrong.
CentOS 7 is EOL, and the repos are closing or already closed.

« on: June 29, 2024, 02:28:49 AM »
Take a snapshot of the server, and then try AlmaLinux's ELevate.
https://almalinux.org/elevate/
With CentOS 8 Stream now being EOL, that's going to be a problem also.
But is with all beta software.
If it fails, you can roll it back.
All else fails, I would bring up a new server with AlmaLinux 8 and use the CWP->CWP Migration tool.

Too bad it only runs on Debian.
When your network has all RHEL-based servers, it would be a major pain in the [bleep] to change over.
So far we actually have CWP running on 7 AlmaLinux 9.x production servers.
The rest are still AlmaLinux 8.x.
