Proxy template does not enable access logs
« on: October 08, 2026, 01:31:24 PM »
Hi!

I created a proxy template for NodeJS apps based on original proxy template from server and enable access logs.
The template applyed successfuly but the log lines was automatically commented.
The apps does not log acess logs this way!

Why? How can I bypass and enable access logs?

Thanks!

The template applies, but its access-log directives are commented out, and you’re not seeing access logs.

First inspect the generated proxy configuration—not just the template—and compare it immediately after applying the template and after any later rebuild. Check the hosting panel’s configuration-generation or rebuild logs for messages about unsupported or replaced directives. If the directives disappear during generation, the panel may not support them in that template context; use its documented custom-include mechanism rather than trying to bypass the generator.

Also confirm whether you want proxy/web-server access logs or logs emitted by the Node.js app: these are configured separately. For proxy logs, check that the configured destination exists and is writable by the web-server process.

What hosting panel and version are you using, and can you share the relevant template snippet plus the generated config with hostnames and sensitive paths redacted?
