Hi there,

We recently changed our SMF Forum Hosts after many years of running on Centos 7 and WHM/C-Panel and migrated everything over to the new server running AlmaLunix 9.04 using CWP (eventually upgraded to Pro')

Everything,.. kind of works ok,.. apart from an annoying issue that seems to be related to the OpenSSL version .... but I digress.

Whilst digging around, I happened to notice the settings listed in 'MySQL Manager, are ALL from the Old server,.. Server Name and Older IP, 'listed' in the Databases tab and also in the Users tab.

Strangely, we seem unable to Delete these Old (now redundant) entries from the new system.

Obviously, our New server, has both a Different Name and IP address, so am somewhat intrigued it isn't listed here but the Old one IS ??
Any ideas as to why this may have occurred and how we can remove these entries ??

See images below.

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Stewart

As a cPanel migrator, I've seen this and lived with it for awhile before I finally hunkered down and cleaned it up. In this case, CWP's GUI is buggy and ineffective, so you're better off cleaning up from phpMyAdmin or even the CLI if you're so inclined. First backup your "mysql" DB (export in phpMyAdmin or do a mysqldump) in case something goes wrong or you go overzealous in your cleanup. Then you can edit the mysql DB user table and get rid of the old entries.
