Information / goaccess geo ip location

Any easy way to install maxmind geo ip for goaccess?
Google analytics 4 is a nightmare to use. So its back to webstats for me. I dont need all of the data that GA4 can potentially reveal to micromanagers. GoAccess provides me with what I currently need to know about visitors to any give website.

FYI......I get the forbidden error page when I access the categories pages in the forum. I had to use my vpn to see the posts. Doesnt sound intentional to me since I can see the landing page, just not the posts of any category. does that make sense?

Information / SSL not creating certs on new domain addition
« on: January 21, 2025, 12:11:31 PM »
I added a new domain and checked the box for add ssl certificate. A minute later I got the SUCCESS message in green.
I went to etc pki tls certs and found only one file bundle file of size 2kb and no cert.
In the private folder it wasnt even listed.
I tried manually adding the ssl and get the dreaded domain not pointed at server. This after 3 days to propagate and confirmation from dns checkers that name was infact resolving.

Installation / Now what
« on: June 04, 2024, 10:28:39 PM »
So here we are in June 2024 just days away from EOL centos 7. And the CWP installation has this to say:
Quote
Please note that currently we still recommend CentOS 7 as the best version to get installed as it also provides our CWP Secure Kernel which is very important for server security and especially for shared web hosting servers.

Installation / Y2K deja vu
« on: May 06, 2024, 03:16:04 PM »
centos 7 EOL is June 2024.
Centos 8 Dec 2021.
Is this another Y2K scenario where no one knows what is going to happen at midnight?
I don't see any major announcements about the future of CWP without the recommended Centos7 installation. All of the other centos 8 distros are really not ready for prime time as they say.
I see storm clouds on the horizon for CWP. Or maybe it is a dust cloud from the stampede of users leaving?

Information / DNSSEC
« on: April 16, 2024, 02:13:29 PM »
Yesterday I updated my DNS servers at my registry (name.com). I expected my website to resolve rather quickly as it did in the past. But after 48 hours still no joy. After a lot of research, I learned that the problem was my registry created a new DNSSEC record by default. Sneaky I agree.
So I quickly deleted the dnssec record at my registry and got my website back.
There are a lot of pros and cons about this new security measure, the biggest of which is a complete shutdown of your website should you create a new record before deleting the old record. Chaos will surely prevail should you make this mistake.
Any discussion?

- What is "how often send messages"?

Could a cloudflare tunnel work for a home based CWP server?
