Hello,
I have a fresh CWP installation on AlmaLinux 10.2.
After installation, OpenDKIM was running and Postfix was correctly connected to the DKIM milter, but no DNS zone had been created for the server hostname.
As a result, the hostname did not appear in Email → DKIM & SPF Manager.
I checked `/var/named/` and `/etc/named.conf` and confirmed that the hostname DNS zone was missing.
I manually configured OpenDKIM with an RSA 2048-bit key, published the DKIM record through my external DNS provider (NameSilo), and successfully verified `DKIM=PASS` in Gmail.
However, the hostname still did not appear in DKIM & SPF Manager.
The solution was to create a DNS zone for the hostname using DNS Functions → Add DNS Zone.
Immediately afterwards, the hostname appeared in DKIM & SPF Manager. After completing the local DNS records and TrustedHosts configuration, all five indicators turned green.
My question is:
Should CWP automatically create a DNS zone for the server hostname during installation, or is it expected that administrators create it manually?
On my older CWP installations (AlmaLinux 8), hostname DNS zones already existed, so I am trying to understand whether this behavior has changed.
Thank you!
