CWP to CWP migration NOT WORK again!

Following the latest updates, migration from one CWP (CentOS Web Panel) instance to another has stopped working again. Just as it did previously, the migration process freezes at 40% and never progresses any further.

Additionally, with the latest version, backups to a remote FTP server have also stopped working.

When a migration is initiated, only a 5–20 KB `move.tar.gz` file is created in the source server's home directory. On the destination server, the progress indicator reaches 40% and then freezes, failing to progress any further.

A similar issue occurred in previous versions of CWP but was subsequently resolved (at that time, the process would freeze at 60%). However, the same problem has resurfaced in the latest version.

Currently, CWP-to-CWP migration is not possible!

Do you have the 2304 API port open (just for the transfer)?

Yes, I am disabling CSF on both the source and destination servers.

The machines are already communicating with each other, so there is no issue there; however, when the source machine begins creating a backup, it generates a file of only 5–20 KB and then stops. This file is transferred to the destination machine, but the process hangs indefinitely at that point.

Furthermore, I have previously performed migrations between these same two machines without any issues. This problem only occurs with the latest version of CWP.

I'm experiencing the same problem—migrations have been failing for the last few days.

Setup & Details:

Source/Target: Migrating from CentOS 7 to fresh installs of AlmaLinux 8 and 9.
Firewall: Both IP addresses are whitelisted.
Issue: Connection connects successfully, but every account freeze-locks at 40% (even after 10 hours).

Manual Migration Attempt:
I tried running a manual restore via backup_manager2, but it fails immediately after creating the databases. Domains, emails, and account configs are completely skipped/restored incorrectly. No errors found in logs.

I am experiencing the same issue as you. I have tried all the methods you attempted, and I encountered the exact same problems.

I am trying to migrate sites from CentOS 7—a transition I have successfully performed in the past—to AlmaLinux 9; however, the process that used to work no longer functions.

Beyond migration, it is also impossible to perform a manual restore using backups. As you noted, email addresses and the emails themselves are not being imported.
