I have the same problem and I do not receive any type of error message, just reload the log in page and do not enter. The access data is correct.

if this is admin related login and you don't get any error then its probably your disk full

Can you confirm that the user's account has an associated package?

jhossep1992

Thank you very much, friend, that was exactly the problem, which has not been assigned a package. This only happens to me when the account is created from the whmcs module. You know why?

Interesting.

Exactly what happened to me as well.

The real question is:  how did it "magically" lose its package?

Anyway - learned something new :)   Know what to do if it happens again.

opinion in 2020 YEAR  / I had this problem
I was unable to log in to a client user's account, I deleted the account (domain) and then updated vps and reboot then created a new account and successfully logged in, and only after I installed SSL protocol and now the client user account works a lot good.

ATENTION only one account (domain) didn't work had login error.

I came-up with the same error.
After i run sh /scripts/update_cwp in SSH, i noticed that the timeszone format was incorrect.
Then, i go to "WHM" of CWP and "Server Config > Change Date & Time" and there you have (Don't forget to change /usr/local/php/php.ini and /usr/local/cwp/php71/php.ini timezone ("date.timezone" field))

Click on each link and search to find "date.timezone" and comment it with ";" in front of it (without the ") . After that, click save and restart the server and for me it worked.

I think, when changing the timezone, we should have a list with the correct format of the timezones for those files.
