Backup Manager Beta is not remembering password in destination and will not do an automatic BU, but re typing in the password will allow you to do a manual BU.
Just info :)

Same here

Same here.
Scheduled backups does not work.
Manual backup work.
There are recurrent problems with backup these last updates.
-
With every update, something breaks.
-
I find if I enter password and update and leave CWP panel open it will auto BU. I am going to maybe leave CWP URL/Panel open in browser 24/7 after next Destination update and see if that helps.
Again, just info
-
Leaving your Control Web Panel tab open does not improve core server performance, but it keeps an active browser session and live AJAX polling connection alive to continuously refresh dashboard data and resource metrics.
Maybe this helps keeping the FTP Destination password.
-
Confirmation that leaving CWP open in browser and pinning it to the tab bar (chrome) that auto BU works for 3rd day in a row.
-
Today I can't even make manual backup work.

After adding your password again you need to update (save) it.
-
Done that, connection test succeeds, settings saved, but login during back up fails

I will leave mine run again tonight see if it auto completes.
-
Any change with the recent update?
-
No you have to submit the password every day for it to run.
-
Here does not run scheduled backups.
Just run once manually when you created, after this, never run, manual or scheduled.
-
Anyone knows where destination pass is stored?
-
It should be encrypted.
It looks like it's now fixed in 1.13 (tested twice and seems to be holding so far)
-
My destination password held overnight and today, normaly it would have auto changed by now, my BU is scheduled to run in 4 hours if it succeeds that will be 2 days in a row. If I am up I will drop a post here.
-
OK, it works
-
I don't think it is working yet, my destination password was automatically changed to wrong one this morning, that tells me it ain't working. :(
-
Upgrade to 1.13

Upgrade to 1.13
I am using 1.13 :)
-
Worked until mine all upgraded to 1.14. Had to go back through all the backups again.
-
Will see what 1.14 brings :)
-
With 1.14 it stopped working. Nice!
-
Hello, do you have an open ticket for this issue? In which scenario is it not working—local, NFS, or Amazon?
-
Destination: FTP server
-
Backup not working again. CWPpro version: 1.14
-
Nope it is not saving the password.
I put in my password every afternoon and update it then my BU works while I sleep, then it is rinse and repeat everyday.
-
Never worked after some update around 0.9.xxx.
I use S3.
Manually works, upload to S3.
Scheduled does not work.
-
1.15 and still not fixed for ftp option.

1.15 and still not fixed for ftp option.
It works fine with me.
Re-enter your ftp password and save setting

Was not fixed in 1.1.5 for me. Will see what 1.1.7 brings to the table.
-
I have noticed that with every CWP update, FTP password is lost (alterered) and you must re-enter it and save setting each time.
-
Last night backup worked fine. Made a connection test this morning but failed (I've re-set password).
It seems that every time backup runs, password is ruined.

Yes I have the same issue as you, after the BU runs and completes the first time it seems to change the default password, meaning we have to manually reset the FTP Destination password every day. using 1.1.7

I can verify the above. Password has to be re-set after backup run.

CWP FTP for backup in v 1.1.8 still does not remember password, also in File Management/ FTP Manager V2/ it loses the password, it seems to be an FTP issue fully accross CWP.
-
Ah, CWP 1.1.9 remembered my Backup FTP Destination today lets hope it continues. :)

1.19 just ran a back up to a nas via ftp it seems to be working so far.
