Hi,

ii have recently installed CWP pro on a new Almalinux 9,everything is working fine but when I create a user, I give him a name, password and everything that is necessary, but then when I try to log in through the user account (panel)  it gives me an error, what could be the reason?

???Just a clarification when installing AL9.5 - and for this installation, let's follow the recommendations you gave us here:

And as you implement and I guess recommend, now that we install AL 9.5 and then CWP, in the future when updating AL to do it manually?

Are you installing this locally or on a public provider (aka VPS, Dedicated)?

AL9 is working pretty well, as long as you don't need PHP below 7.4.x
AL8 is also working great, and has all the libraries unlike Rocky which for some reason, if missing key libraries.

All new installations we are using AL9.

What error messages are the logs showing?

Starburst has shared his EL9 (AlmaLinux 9) installation instructions/steps several times in this forum. Please search & follow his wise advice!

thank you very much for the reply, I also have a lot of respect for Starburst and follow his posts on the matter….

Starburst and again my admirations, but he is on the level, and we are much more inexperienced and we expect things to happen as with Centos - installations, updates, etc...

We installed AL8 and, we have problems with no updates, SSL installations, mail, Nginx & Varnish are gone, etc.

CentOS 9 Problems / Re: Error in SMTP

You would just use the providers base AlmaLinux 9 install, and then stop and do not install anything (MariaDB, PHP, etc.) before CWP.

If you do will have all kinds of problems that would be unfixable.

Just do the base image, and then see the following that was posted in another thread:

Then you will want to upgrade MariaDB from 10.4 to 10.11.
You can see that guide at AlphaGNU or

Then it just up to you to compile PHP inside CWP to 8.1, 8.2 or 8.3

Please clarify—when installing CWP on AL 8 and trying to select the combination Nginx, Varnish, and Apache, it turned out that the first two were not installed. The server can only work when the Apache variant is selected.
Are there any installation and configuration requirements for Nginx & Varnish on AL9?

I posted a small guide on how to do the basic CWP on AL9, if you don't do it correctly things will get corrupted.

Also make sure you don't have MariaDB, PHP, etc installed. Just the minimal install of AL9

secondly, how can there be no MariaDB, PHP, etc installed, but only a minimal installation of AL9,  or do you mean this minimal installation should be done before the installation of CWP?

All new servers we've activated have AL9 (AlmaLinux 9).

It installs a little different, but seems to be working well.
If you need PHP below 7.4, then you'll still have to install CWP on AL8 (AlmaLinux 8 )

"We are always tweaking the AL9 install process, that's just a small fraction of the current AL9 internal guide we use that is 12 pages long. :/"
