Informations / CWPpro Reviews
« on: Today at 02:51:55 AM »
If you can please share your experienced of CWP vs CWPpro.

As for me, what I really after is faster load time for my WordPress sites. So I setup CWP on a VPS with 1 vCore and 2GB RAM. Just one full WordPress site. I used one of my existing sites that fully live. I took a copy of it and moved all data and files to the new domain on this VPS. So the goal is that it's not just a bare bone WordPress default.

I used PHP 7.2.5.

First I tried with only Apache. Then Apache + Nginx. After that Apache + Nginx + Varnish. And finally upgraded to CWPpro because from the CWPpro page said that Varnish will use RAM instead of Disk and it should be faster.

I tested it with pingdom and gtmetrix. I ran the tests over and over until I get a good idea of the average speed. Anyways, here what I found in general.

Apache + Nginx is faster than Apache alone
Apache + Nginx + Varnish is faster than Apache + Nginx

Normal, expected it as advertised.

When I upgraded it to CWPpro I am hoping for an increase as well. But I didn't get that. There was no increase in speed pretty much the same as it was without pro.

Am I missing something? Do I have to configure anything after it's updated? I don't know.

How about you? Did you experience anything different? How is your setup?

PHP / Re: How to add modules to CWP PHP Selector?

You can do that with the "PHP Flags Editor > Additional configuration" by clicking on [Edit Flags]. But my question is what are the parameters that we can add to it? There should be a list of what we can add to it. If you ever find that list please share. I am trying to get memcached on PHP70.

you didn't provided much information
does php 7.2.5 is now installed or something else ?
Yeah, it looks like it did installed. In the "PHP Vision Swicther >> Select Options" don't check "ioncube". That worked for me.

Switch to php7.2.5 and stuck at this:

Code: [Select]
Libraries have been installed in:

If you ever happen to want to link against installed libraries
in a given directory, LIBDIR, you must either use libtool, and
specify the full pathname of the library, or use the `-LLIBDIR'
flag during linking and do at least one of the following:
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_LIBRARY_PATH' environment variable
     during execution
   - add LIBDIR to the `LD_RUN_PATH' environment variable
     during linking
   - use the `-Wl,--rpath -Wl,LIBDIR' linker flag
   - have your system administrator add LIBDIR to `/etc/'

See any operating system documentation about shared libraries for
more information, such as the ld(1) and manual pages.

Build complete.
Don't forget to run 'make test'.

Installing shared extensions:     /usr/local/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20170718/

But it did switched to php7.2.5. It worries me because I see it stuck there. Does that mean something is wrong with my php7.2.5? Is the installation incomplete?

How do we that do?

Got the same error here. Can you tell me the step to fixed it?

I have to delete the CNAME and then it allowed me to create the A Record for www. By the way, why is the default template not use A Record but CNAME. This is confusing for beginners like myself. I would think because CNAME was used then it must be the right way.

Oh because I created the ssl certificate so many times now I have to wait a week before I can create it again. I am stuck for 7 days. A big lesson not to use the auto ssl option when creating new domain. Editing DNS with all the correct records first before create ssl cert.

I have the same issue. I can't add A record because www already cname. I keep getting error. How do you add the A record?

Is support any better if you upgrade to Pro? There are some serious bugs and it seems Support does not moderate the forum very often.

I don't know I am testing CWP right now so still very new. But so far I like it a lot. The apache+nginx+varnish configuration works great for my WordPress websites. I was able to dropped a caching plugin that I used for years. And perform much better. So for sure I will be using CWP.

As for CWPpro, I read on their website that it move varnish cache to ram so that's even better. I am planning on running the pro on one of my vps. This current testing one will remain with just the normal CWP for websites and apps that don't required caching or don't matter too much.

After I post the last time I was bug by that "Error:Can't add notification!".

I went back and try other options. Other versions work without that message. Then I tried  apache+nginx. No varnish. And boom! It works. Compiled with no error.

After it compiled and everything is good. I switched back to apache+nginx+varnish. Everything is working fine for me.

Oh one thing I forgot to mentioned and not sure if this have any major issue.

Add the end of the log tail -f /var/log/apache-rebuild.log I did get this error.

Code: [Select]
Error:Can't add notification!

Noticed this thread so I tried it myself and got the same issues.

I just did this same upgrade and didn't have any problems. Here is my httpd.conf:
(Be aware this is setup for apache+nginx+varnish)

So I switched to apache+nginx+varnish and compiled again and it works.

Log into CWP as user.

Email Accounts > Email Accounts > Mail Forwarders (Alias) > Add a New Forwarder > Alias

I ended up editing the postfix database to get this * in there.

DKIM / Add DKIM So Can Send Email From Other Domains
« on: June 10, 2018, 11:25:08 AM »
I don't know exactly what to ask so I will explain what I'm trying to do instead.

I have 2 domains and 2 different VPS. I want to allowed domain1 to send emails for domain2. I want able to do it with SPF like this. On domain2 dns added " TXT v=spf1 a mx ~all". That works.

I am trying to achieve this with DKIM like this.

On domain2 dns added "default._domainkey    TXT    v=DKIM1; k=rsa; p=MIGfMA0GCSqG................................... " but that didn't work. When send from domain1 for domain2 emails the header said dkim=none and Received-SPF: Pass according to hotmail.

I don't know what I'm doing so that could be the issue here. I just google and read things and try it as best. Can someone please help? What is the correct way of doing this?
