Question about file lock. I use magento and they rely heavily on cache and sessions. If I lock my public directory, would that prevent magento from writing to cache?

I have had htaccess conflicts with creating ssl certs. I renamed it and installed ssl cert okay then I renamed htaccess back to original name. Sometimes its just the htaccess that is causing the problem.

autoSSL will install letsencrypt and ot works much better then old letsencrypt module and now you have all certificates on the same place.
Note that autoSSL is not available in cwp versions 0.9.8.1xx.

Instructions say:
Install SSL Certificate (Self Singed - exception needs to be added in your browser)
or
now you will need buy SSL Certificate providing output of "BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST" to SSL seller company.
This is not good. Who will add exception? Nobody!

Admin says the Lets Encrypt module was buggy (I have to agree as had to use page rules, http>https & https://www > 301 > https:// to get everything to work flawlessly).
I took the plunge & set up my SSLs today using the SSL Cert manager. It was super simple & works like a dream (they seem to use LetsEncrypt supplied SSLs BTW). I no longer need the pages too.

You should check error log for any issues
I have 20+ websites. Writing a single rule for each domain name is not convenient.
Log errors will not fix bad uninstall.

In newest CWP the mod config file is no longer available to edit. So, I went to filezilla and whitelisted my IP
SecRule REMOTE_ADDR "@ipMatch 71.0.69.137" "id:26091975,phase:2,pass,nolog,allow,ctl:ruleEngine=Off"
I rebooted apache and now modsec will not run..or at least there are no log entries. Test show Fobidden 403 though.

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Advanced file Manager not useable

I am using firefox with cwp. When I open advanced file manager everything is good until I edit a file. The popup window with the text file is under the browser bar. Cannot close the text editor because the close button is not visible. Window cannot be dragged to a a more usable location either.

So I have 2 servers, centos 6 and centos 7. I had ssl for all of my domains with letsencrypt on centos6. Now on centos 7 it says not supported. But if I hit the install letsencrypt, it says installed. Is it installed and functional or NOT?

Mod_Security / Apache crash uninstall modsecurity

I am getting 403 errors on my webiste with mod security enabled. I wanted to uninstall mod security to check if the 403 errors stop. But apache will not restart after uninstall modsec. Installing mod security again will bring apache back. I would like to disable mod security to verify if it is the source of 403 error.
