SSL / Re: ignore http requests
« on: February 07, 2020, 12:02:58 AM »
If your server does not serve a non-http redirect on port 80, i guarantee you, you will lose traffic. Until sometime in 2021 when standard http class is finally rescinded, http is still the standard port browsers will use to get to your site.   You can tell google crawler to explicitly crawl your site https only in the google domain  https://search.google.com/search-console?

I suppose you might be right. But my rankings will not be effected.  When I type  without protocol it takes me to https now, but that might be my cache.  Looks like its the cache that makes it work.  So I guess I will have to wait til 2021

Can I change httpd to 443 instead of 80?

NO.  But you can leave it blank and http will not load nor redirect if you have the htaccess file set for redirect.  Thats what I wanted.  I tried listen 443 but got an error that said basically, some other service (ssl) was already using that port.

i ran into the same nasty situation, too bad it is not fixed ((

I was also under the impression that it was open source.
It uses a lot of open source software, if not open source itself then it will never be big as its untrusted qabail qamis jilbab , especially if its free ))

If its free then u are the product is the saying, i rather pay and feel confident, or use open source and know whats up
In fact, it's good to use open source software for programming. It's easier to manage.

I ADVISE YOU TO PAY TO BE QUIET

What does that mean?

This thread needs to be moved to a NEW CATEGORY  called Lounge or something similar.

Posts to this thread or subjective, personal, biased, speculative, political, accusatory, self serving, and of no use to the general community of this forum.

REAL IMPORTANT:
Too many posts are being posted in the wrong category.  Moderators are ignoring this.  Users who are too lazy to post in the proper category should be warned and then removed if they continue to post everything to the first category.  We need more moderators and I volunteer.

Total BS on the previous post.  Obviously connected to the developers.  Very obvious.

I think the developers should start paying apache.org for every download and php for every download, and mariadb for every download that users require to run cwp.  Whats good for the goose is good for the gander.

Improvements are impossible without our feedback.  Yesterday I provided a lot of feedback on the nature of the problem with the failed User login.  I told them:
  • Turning of firewall made no differenc
  • Turning off mod_sec made no difference
  • All logs were checked for errors, none found
  • Source code for user login page was different between the functioning user login and the non functioning login
  • ssl log showed a problem in the priority of statements

I suspect that made their job easier and they quickly came out with a new release that fixed the problem.  Should I send them an invoice for my time?

Opening the source code, I think, would not be a solution at all. The important thing is that you get organized with a roadmap and improve so that we can bring more customers to this panel.

I think the most viable option is to limit the support to only customers with contracted support plans, this would help reduce their workload by attending to requests or improve the income by having to pay for support, which would even help them to hire or improve the conditions of current programmers and have more time to spend on improving the panel.

Even the price of the PRO license, seems to me very low for the current features of this panel and the most important functions of it, making them only usable by PRO license customers, all this to help them to get more revenue and improve this system.

The current price of 1.49$ per month, is too low to keep the system stable, I think an updated price of about 4/5$ per month would be a much fairer price and would still be much cheaper than the different options existing today.

If someone thinks it's too much, it's because they don't really know what it costs to maintain a team.

If I have to pay then I will pay for cPanel.  You are missing the point about open source.

If anyone should pay it should be paid directly to apache.org.  Apache is FREE.  Do you think we should pay Apache?  No, I didnt think so.  Your $$$ ideas are not welcome here.

1. Fix what's broken first.
2. No more arbitrary 3rd party software (eg. shoutcast, netdata) and allow them to be removed entirely, including from the GUI.
3. WHMCS should be able to be removed; not everyone uses it!
3. Open source apart from some key files.
4. Change logs.

5. Get a serious panel name.  Branding is everything. kokpit.com something unique that can be trademarked

CentOS-WebPanel Bugs / Cannot access php.ini per domain in user panel
« on: February 03, 2020, 05:47:02 PM »
When I click on php.ini in user panel, the base user domain allows modification of php.ini but does not save it.

Clicking on any other domain simply spins and does nothing.
